Who We Are
Ontario Iron is a leading Rebar fabrication and installation company based in Ontario, proudly serving residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure projects across the province. Rebar Standards of Compliance
CSA G30.18 – Carbon Steel Bars for Concrete Reinforcement
The primary Canadian standard for rebar.
Covers grades (yield strength):
400R/400W (400 MPa yield strength – regular & weldable).
500R/500W (500 MPa yield strength – regular & weldable).
“W” denotes weldable rebar with controlled chemical composition.
Specifies bar sizes (#10M to #55M), bending, elongation, and deformations.
CSA G164 – Hot Dip Galvanizing of Rebar.
CSA A23.1/A23.2 – Concrete Materials & Methods, outlining cover requirements, placement tolerances, and reinforcement practices.
ASTM A615 / A615M – Carbon steel rebar (Grades 40, 60, 75).
ASTM A706 – Low-alloy, weldable rebar (often required for seismic design).
ASTM A775 / A934 – Epoxy-coated rebar standards.
ACI 318 – Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete (design & detailing).

Our Journey
Ontario Iron was founded with a clear vision to bridge the gap between quality steel fabrication and seamless on-site installation. We noticed that many projects faced delays and cost overruns due to poor coordination between fabrication shops and installation teams.
We set out to change that. By offering end-to-end structural steel services under one roof, we’ve made it possible for our clients to have a single point of contact from project estimation to final inspection.
Over the years, our team has worked on hundreds of projects across Ontario, from custom home builds in Toronto to multi-storey commercial developments in Mississauga and industrial facilities in Hamilton.
